About Nose to Tail

Nose to Tail Canine Therapy was established in 2021 by founder Emmy Figg. The business was set up to provide excellent rehabilitative care and prevention care for canines. 

Emmy has a huge passion for working with animals, especially dogs, and takes a large interest in ensuring their wellbeing. Emmy has had animals throughout her life, starting with rabbits and Guinea pigs as a young child. She soon found a love for horses and a passion for dogs. Emmy has two Border collies of her own and competes in agility with them. She has competed at Crufts for 8 consecutive years and travels all over the United Kingdom to compete.  

Emmy has worked with canines throughout her life. She started caring for dogs by working in a boarding kennels, she then developed a passion for rehabilitation after one of her own dogs suffered a spinal injury and had to undergo rehabilitative treatment. Emmy has studied Canine Therapy at university and has achieved a Diploma in canine studies, and a Bachelor of Science Degree, with honors,  in Canine therapy. She has also achieved a level 6 Canine Massage Qualification and a Level 3 Small Animal Hydrotherapy qualification. Emmy is also a registered member of The International Association of Animal Therapists. 

 

Emmy continues to improve her canine knowledge by completing further massage courses and small animal hydrotherapy courses, along with revising and improving her canine anatomy knowledge. Emmy also aims to specialize in canine sports rehabilitation and pre-habilitation as this is of huge interest to her.
